A leotard matching the color of your group. 

You can wear a short skirt, we don't recommend tulle, because it can be quite uncomfortable during lying exercises.
The leotard can be purchased from us, there will be a dress fair at the beginning of October, so you can buy what you need locally while your child dances.
Or you can find a used one in our buy&sell Facebook group.

Later in the school year, you will have to get it individually. 

The uniform strengthens group dynamics, common values, common motivation, and common development.

The uniform makes it easier to wear the corresponding clothes for the class, so we can clearly see the parts of the body that we need to see for correction and teaching.

If the group is in uniform, it is much easier for us to see mistakes, because the elements to be improved are more clearly visible in the visual unit.

The different colors of the groups also show the children what can be achieved, as a kind of dance skill status.

BALLET SHOES 
Split soles, not full soles, just the right size for the feet. Can be purchased at the buy&sell Facebook group at any dance supply store. 

TAP SHOES

If you already have a tap class.  This can be a size bigger to last longer

POINTE SHOES
If you already have class en pointe.
Be sure to ask the teacher for help in choosing the right type and size!

Help the development with a braid!

Pin the long hair with a rubber band or a bun. 

Attach the shorter one with a wave buckle.

Hanging hair, hair clips, and headbands are not comfortable for dancing, they interfere with concentration and make tasks way more difficult.

The children receive stars in class partly for class work and partly for assignments.
After five stars, you get a sticker, but the stars must be returned in exchange for a sticker. Therefore, in the ballet bag, please put a small envelope/box/purse in which you can collect your stars.

There are many positions in pedagogy about whether or not children need external reinforcement. 

We believe that inner motivation is present in all children, but they overcome difficulties and uncertainties more easily if they receive reinforcement from the outside. It can be a smile, a hug, praise, or a little paper star.

And internal motivation can mature and develop even with external reinforcement.

On the first page of the Dance Log every student has their ID pictures from the year they started dancing. This way they can see more clearly where they started :)
